Laurent (Lo) Lapierre has been playing lead guitar in various bands for the last 20 years, playing mostly classic rock, blues-rock and hard rock, but has also dabbled in Latin and jazz-fusion.
Guitar players who have influenced him the most include Brian May of Queen, Eric Johnson, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Lo plays various electric guitars, including a Stratocaster, a Telecaster, a Les Paul, an SG, and sometimes a Brian May “Red Special.”
He’s also a big fan of small British tube amps that he can crank up without deafening the audience or his band mates. You’ll see him playing either a Marshall or an Orange.
